PASS the Valley Test!

"If I could, then I would; I'll go wherever you will go. Way up high, or down low, I'll go wherever you will go".

These lyrics are apart of one of my favorites 90s song/early 2000s songs from The Calling called "Wherever you go". Even though it is a love song, I related this songfor my relationship with the Lord as our true ribbons of being committed to the Lord is walking through the lows.

I remember praying a long time ago asking God that I will literally go wherever He wants me. However, are you willing to really go through BOTH the mountaintops and valleys? Most of the time both mountaintops and valleys that we expect are totally different than what God has for you. It's could be a very daunting prayer to ask God and if you pray it, you have to truly be 100% committed to the Lord and more when it occurs, because that's when your true test occurs.

Psalms 23 makes us aware that we will go through the valley of the shadow of death. You probably hear it all the time in sermons that your true faith is marked by staying committed in the dark seasons, or when you have no idea what the next step is. However it is totally true. Being even more prayed up, exercising your faith, not giving up is even more imperative.

When you are literally exercising your spiritual muscles, you will have a toner, leaner, tougher spirit!

I get excited as in the valley because you understand that a harvest is coming!

Gather the lessons in the valley because you don't wat to go around that lesson 40 more years like Moses did in the wilderness. Also, understand that you will not be the same person coming out as you did coming in. If people will ask you why you're acting brand new, is because you are! Going through the driest season of your life only signifies that an anbudant harvest is coming and you need to commit to remaining for what God has for you, and not turn back to your old self.

The darkest periods have the greatest melodies.

Another thing about music is that some of the darkest, deepest songs are the ones that have the most powerful messages and melodies. Do not take going through the valleys lightly and think they are a burden but truly find the beauty in it. See what God is showing you rather than what the enemy is constantly trying to distract you and make you unhappy about. See that you may be learning a new skill, restoring a part of you that you may have forgotten, etc. I honestly was in a web of lies from the enemy when i was laid off and bombarded by overwhelming thoughts from the enemy from "friends", family, the world and even sometimes myself. One might even point the finger and say, oh my goodness she's working as a Cashier - things must be totally bad. And you know what, I truly relish in this. I know that God is showing me how to treat persons, how the average American works, restoring my humility, increasing my patience, stopped going through the motions, and prepare for the launching pad that God has for me.

When you ask the Lord that you will go WHEREVER He may take you, really be ready for what comes and never lose the faith.
